POLLS - high presidential ratings all war-time related.
Bush Sr. ended up losing re-election and so will Bush Jr.
Swing-voters simply will decide they need a change when they've lived through four years of:

- War
- Recession
- Lies
- High unemployment
- Oil business steering the White House
- Energy scandals (Cheney papers, Enron, gouging, attacks on environment)

Right now, a lot of people would say they approve of Bush just because they're feeling patriotic. In other words, they'd support Any president during a war. That is the emotion packed in after 9/11 and is justified. I too have supported Bush until recently when I realized that he was starting to use the war to prop him up politically and to try and ram through unpopular energy policies. The Axis Of Evil talk also remidned me of his Star Wars BS scare tactics. As if we have anything to fear from North Korea. A starving country. The other big lie I hear now from Bush hawks is that within a few years Saddam will be able to hit the US with a nuclear ICBM. That is pure nonsense. He'll be lucky if he has one SCUD to hit Israel. Just too many lies coming out of this administration. When the debate starts those lies will be exposed.
