Al, Bush may be a little insecure about this issue.........when Clinton offered to help recently, he got a very resounding and uncharacteristic "NO" from Mr. Bush.

It couldn't be that Bush figures he has the most competent foreign policy team in years so why clutter it up by involving Clinton? After all, Clinton's amateur foreign policy troupe is what brought us to this point we're currently at.

However, its hard for the other side to understand the concept of mediation and compromise

You don't mediate and compromise when you've been attacked. You do precisely what Israel has done which is to kick the sh*t out of the attacker; and precisely what we've begun to do in Afghanistan.
