I realize that TP claims empathy as a liberal emotion, but surely you can feel a little something for someone who is stuck in a hospital bed for what may be a long and miserable time.

My father tells everyone that if he ever collapses with a stroke or heart attack or some such that they should leave him on the floor, leave the house, and go to a movie and dinner so that he will be sure to be dead when they get back. He knows that you lose control as soon as you call the paramedics. I think the lack of choice sucks.
