As long as he thought that there was a conflict with the Controlled Substances Act, I don't care what other motives might have entered in...... This is what I don't understand. I remember you fussing at me about Federal intrusion in schools on religion, minorities and the like. I assumed you would agree with Laz and me on this issue on principle. I am not getting from your posts just what it is that you think trumps that principle. All I've heard is that Ashcroft was able to come up with a legal basis. I'm not hearing why he should have placed a priority on looking for one.
