American Spirit,

re:"The Germans are moving ahead with hydrogen cars. I'm sure the Japanese are working on them too. But what about us? "

ballard.com

"Since beginning work with Ballard in 1993, DaimlerChrysler has produced four generations of prototype passenger vehicles (NECAR 1,2, 3, and 4) a prototype transit bus (NEBUS) and the concept Jeep Commander powered by Ballard fuel cells."

"Ford Motor Company introduced its TH!NK FC5 fuel cell prototype vehicle in Detroit on January 11, 2000. Ford debuted two earlier prototypes, a Ballard fuel cell powered concept sedan (P2000) and a Ballard fuel cell powered concept sport utility vehicle (P2000 SUV) in 1999"

I've read about the Hydrogen powered BMW. Their next step, is to be able to put luggage in the trunk. :-)
