There is no industry standard, other than Intel. Would Intel provide the breakdown of their yields by product / process technology? Or should IBM be brought in about yields on their Power4?

Yields aren't quite as secret as people make them out to be. You want to know Intel's yields? Use them as your foundry. I recently worked with a product that was fabed by a different company, IBM. I watch the wafers being sorted. How are they going to keep their yields secret? Whoever buys wafers from Intel knows their yields. Industry yields are known and AMD claimed to be World Class.
