Oh dear. I just read last night's posts. My two cents: Laz, you've been an admirable moderator. Your rules were agreed upon by committee and you've applied them fairly. The rule about voluntary (and hopefully time-limited) toorabouts has been in the header for a long time now. Jewel was indeed told by X a few days ago that she didn't want to talk with him. Then yesterday she barbed him and he reminded her of what she's said. You can't have it both ways, IMO: tell someone you're not going to talk to them, then toss nasty barbs their way. It's confusing and unsettling. I think he was within his rights as set down by the thread rules to ask for a toorabout. I think the ensuing namecalling of "baby" by E and X were also out of line. The men here should be afforded the same rights as the women. No one deserves to be called a baby under these circumstances. It's further aggression, IMO. That said, I've had my problems with different posters here and have found that a cooling-off period, helped by the ignore function, does wonders. Laz, please don't abdicate.
