The farm-raised catfish I'm used to eating is probably different than that caught 'in the wild". And then there's the matter of those freaky-looking whiskers. I'll bet your son was proud, though.

There's a great spicy tartar sauce out there now, made by "The Ojai Kitchen", that's responsible for doubling our fish intake here. You might look for it if you're into spicy.
