Actually, I was looking at the price of small scale hydro, since I have a small creek. The state of Cal. will pay up to half the cost of conversion if you go with solar, wind, or, I believe, fuel cell. I was going to get them to pony up half a solar system, and then add the hydro on my own. What stopped me was the involvement of the building inspector, and ultimately,the tax guy. That's where my biggest costs would have been The bootleg kid
