This leads to the question, what does W do now? There are certainly plenty of cheerleaders here hoping for a Saudi/US rupture. How that would be in the US interest is a puzzle. Personally, I can't quite figure out where Cheney sits in this. He's usually put in the Perle/Wolfowitz camp, but the oil guys traditionally were tight with the Saudis.

Sharon, of course, continues to do his very best to make W look like a strong leader to the Arabs, much to Nadine's pleasure no doubt. I'm sure all Arab Minds are impressed.
