While we wait for Greg to return with his copious notes I'll offer a few observations. It seems to me that the new CFO has really tightened up their financial management. They are paying down debt, improving inventory turns and steadily reducing the cash burn rate. I just wish he was easier to understand. He has a very thick accent. They have one unified sales force which is selling complete solutions. Apparently when they had the incubator model, each unit had its own sales force and they weren't cross selling products from other divisions. This is a vast improvement. They have no 10% customers. Luminent's best customers are Marconi and Cisco. Someone from Raymond James was on the call. I don't remember them on the calls before. He commented on the huge discrepancy between the valuations of MRVC and FNSR. This might portend a recommendation from them soon on a valuation basis. Luminent has the best 10 gigabit chip in the market. Period! Charlottes Web has a very solid installed base. They are moving closer and closer to the core.(Whatever that means.) I wish there had been time for someone to ask if any of those units had been purchased for cash. The highlight for me was Noam's answers to questions from the UBS Paine Weber person. He was passionate, articulate, enthusiastic and confident in explaining why the company should grow. I don't know what brand of coffee he drank before the call but he should drink it every quarter.
