too many $$ around, why do you think gold/miners are moving up? Think about it-- they create all these containers to fill with the $$ (I shares, HOLDRs, etc, etc) the more containers the better because you got all those $$. It's not an issue I guess that many containers are just the same containers already existing but creatively combined, or filled many times, and of course mostly mass correlated. Gold is also a container, and as you see really foolish containers being filled you will say to yourself, "self, there sure is one container that makes more sense to be in and can really fill up much more", and that's why the golds are now a great hedge for shorts and are often + correlated to the mkt. It's really that simple, it's all abou8t containers being emptied and filled. We will get the lesson about many of the most popular containers having holes in them later, though some are getting it now.
