The market looks 4 months ahead

Looks ahead to what?
Was it looking ahead at Naz 5000?
Was it looking ahead at the Sept bottom?
Was it looking ahead at the January high?

Personally I think this is pure BS.
The market does not look ahead to anything.

Actually I take that back, the market does look ahead but not to reality....
It looks ahead to EXPECTATIONS!
A vastly vastly different thing.

Expectations at the sept lows were rock bottom.
Had it been looking ahead 4 months properly, perhaps we would have not gotten there.

Expectations once again in January, looking ahead 4-6 months were for a profit recovery. That profit recovery did not and will not occur.

Be careful in generalization that the market looks ahead.

Since expectations have been more wrong than right, it would "seem" that the market fails to look ahead at all.
