Dateline: Denmark--A Danish man having surgery on his
backside broke wind and set fire to his genitals. Dr.
Jorn Kristensen was removing a mole from the rear end
of a 30-year-old patient with an electric knife when
the man cut loose, igniting a spark. The man's genitals
had been washed with surgical spirits and immediately
caught fire. He's now suing the hospital for pain and
suffering and loss of income. "When I woke up, my penis
and scrotum were burning like hell," the man told Danish
Newspaper BT. "No one considered the possibility the man
would break wind during the operation," said Dr.
Kristensen, "let alone that it would catch fire."
Reports say it is unlikely that the doctor will face
disciplinary action.
