Well, with all due respect, I won't take any blame for your illiteracy. Practice, seek aid, and maybe one day you'll recognise the mother tongue in even the more advanced forms...
and who knows, one day you might possibly aspire to comprehend my mastery of the forms. Not match, obviously. But maybe you might glimpse the heights which others regularly surmount.
It's a pity, though, I truly did think you'd catch 2/4 of my mentions.
As for my entertainment value, I figure that if I can't teach the children, at least they may laugh. When Punch hits Judy, it doesn't hurt, BTW. (another allusion!)
Of course the birthday boy may ask for anyone to be thrown out of his party, and I'm sure all his 'friends' will cheer.
