Dak:

Basically I agree with you, although all those scars from a few years ago still pucker and twist when we have had several days of "down", causing me to leap for the foxhole at the tiniest sign of a rally. I have left plenty on the table in each of these downdrafts by dashing for the weeds too "earlie". I hate it that we fight new wars with the lessons instilled from the last one. (g)

I fully agree that this whole thing is irresolutely rolling over and it sure looks like it is gathering momentum. That said, I will probably remain so darned gun-shy that I will likely be a spectator to the future waterfall event. And nothing would bug me more, given the duration of this campaign. (g)

No question at this end that the economy itself is spinning down. As noted earlier, when the refinancing game comes a-cropper, it will be time to spread sawdust on the arena floor. My best guess is sometime this summer. Hard to believe that it might drag into the fall, but it might. To own up to the level of fear at this end, I am entering the weekend fairly light. IBM in size and plenty of my favourite golden labrador (yeller dog) of course, just to keep me company. (g)

Best, Earlie
