I'll remind myself to bow down daily to all those who've been calling for a strong rally every single day for the past few weeks, and hurling insults at everyone who doesn't agree.

And when they've all been scorched by the market, I'll concede that I was dead wrong, that the market hasn't been falling really, that it's simply been basing. And if it did go down a tad, it really should have rallied, and most certainly would have rallied, if not for some unanticipated problems such as excessive bearishness or "foreign capitulation." It really couldn't have been foreseen. It was a bullish market undone by an ignorant but vocal bearish contingent. That's what's behind the "basing" -- that and foreign capitulation.
