Not that/this time of year. They'd have to outcrop like nipples! While some pipes may modestly outcrop because kimberlite is a lot harder than limestone, I doubt they would show up against the snow.

Like the NR said, I think they just staked ground that had the same geophysical control structures as JI pipes. They don't know if there are any kimberlites on the new ground and won't until a partner spends the coin to find out although I am sure they will fly over the ground in July once the snow is gone to see if any pipes are visible like JI's were.

Would love to read a NR stating a 1,000m diameter pipe was obvious from the air. Just having a little fantasy moment here,... but when you consider that TWG already appears to have at least 3-600m pipes, and a 500m pipe (FT), a 1,000m pipe is not out of the grounds of possibility.
