Lee:

I got to thinking about the recent Work Recovery timeline.

At the end of June, WRKE had substantial debt service due. Did they successfully meet the deadline? Nowhere have I been able to find any news of this.

At the same time their web site suddenly becomes unavailable. A horse's-mouth source of information disappears from the net.

DMD209SV, in her most recent posting, supplied to us by you, alleges that management is top heavy and the company is seemingly making little or no progress toward profitability.

Your telephone contact with WRKE may add the next piece of information to help round out this not-very-encouraging picture. Hope you are able to get through. I would not be too surprised to find their 800 number out of service as well.

Will they continue to send out their news letter?

With regard to management, their sole objective should be to pull WRKE into a profitable posture in the least amount of time. Right now, management personnel and other employees are being paid with borrowed funds. An agressive sales strategy along with a lean-and-mean management philosophy is their only chance at corporate survival as I see it. Generating profits for their shareholders should be paramount. A competant firm doesn't do this (especially in a fresh-start restructuring) with a top-heavy organization - if, in fact, that is what they have.

I'd like to see a chief or two at the top and a hungry, agressive sales force knocking on doors and moving product.

Nevertheless, both WRKE and WRKEW saw some action today.

Please let us know what you found out with your telephone call.

Scary thought: Does the pale ghost of Tom Brandon still haunt the hollow halls of Work Recovery? :^)
