Hi American Spirit; Re: "Taking Iraq's oil doesn't mean we keep it. Just that we use some of it to pay expenses, then leave it in friendlier hands."

Are you entirely sure that the world will recognize our pure and moral motives for taking that oil? It doesn't seem likely to me. They don't see our pure and moral motives for anything else we do, why would you expect them to suddenly start doing it now? If, on the other hand, you expect the rest of the world to condemn us for stealing what isn't ours, then how do you propose to take on a coalition composed of the rest of the world? We're sort of outnumbered here.

Oh, I get it. The United States won WW2 without requiring any assistance from allies. All the British did was get in the way, it took US know-how and economic might to beat them. The Chinese didn't help us defeat the Japanese. Heck, the mere fact that the vast majority of Japan's army was involved in China rather than in the islands we took is not an indication of who had the hardest fight. And the Russians only took 20 million dead against the Germans because their military machine was so primitive. Sure, we can take on the rest of the world. We're number one!!!
