Remember, we are still coming out of the "little ice age" of only a few centuries ago. Furthermore, sun spots have much more effect on average temperatures Indeed, I still recall the scientific community back in the '70s, claiming we were heading for a new ice age... And now it's global warming... But they fail to note that the most recent several thousand years have been a time of great temperature stability, which has not been the case throughout earth's history...
