I think what you'll find is that TW made out like bandits. They didn't pay a dime, got a premium placed on their stock when it was moribund, picked up a profit center, and eventually took over a company that thought was taking TW over.

AOL doesn't run the combined company. TW does. That's what typically happens when a company of 10k employees with an average age of 15 takes over a company of 80k employees with an average age of 40.
