In fact, Mr. Ellen, the conservatives are missing the story re: gun violence. It may eventually come down to one set of gun laws for urban areas, one set of gun laws for the flag-waving SUV crowd. In other words, it'll be OK to pack your heat in the 'burbs, but don't bring pistols into the city.

And before you cry "unconstitutional," the practice of "urban-only laws" dates back at least to the 1820s in the United States, probably earlier.

Interesting sidebar to the massacre in Germany yesterday. There's now a call to ban violent video games in that country. It appears the German shooter had at least one striking similarity with the Paducah school assassin of a few years ago. Both kids executed with crisp head shots ... a skill that can be sharpened playing certain video games.
