Mike,

Interesting post. You must have smarter friends than I do. Back in 2000 I was mentioning that it may be time to buy some gold stocks and had two friends that started the process of accumulating. Since this market keeps on tanking I do not have one friend that has bought any of the yellow metal stocks. They just sit there and let Wall Street keep kicking them while they are down. These people don't seem to have any fear and take matters into their own hands. These folks have "money managers" or brokers helping them manage their money. One person I talked to - after losing 70% of his stock assets sat down with his broker and now he is on a 5 year program - don't open your statements for 5 years. Can you believe this. One friend has a money management team managing her funds and invest in mutual funds - these guys are experts in mutual funds. Well we are down around 40% now and I mentioned that she could ask them about risk management and they told her the mutual fund managers manage risk.

Nuts - nuts- nuts.

Joan
