In Alan Abelson's Barron's column, Archie MacAllaster makes the case for Corning, noting that the company's book value is $5.50 with $2 of that in cash, and that 48% of its business is in its Advance Materials unit which is still seeing solid growth; expects GLW to return to profitability in 2003 and hit $9 by year-end.
