Enigma: Its easy for you to pontificate given that you have never lived there or among the arabs. You should visit the area and you would change your mind. Unless of course you are into fundamentalism, anti women policies, and other racist behavior. Name me a single democracy among all the arab nations. You cannot. Name me other than perhaps Egypt, a single arab nation with borders that were not created out of thin air by the British and French. Your references to US aid are way off the mark. before 1967 the US had a limited arms embargo on Israel. Despite there vast superiority in numbers, and despite being supported by the eastern bloc before 67, the arabs still failed miserably in challanging Israel. The reason is that the entire society is gripped by a rabid conservatism, that harkens back to the middle ages. Decapitations, amputations, serial rapes are par for the course in most of the religous arab nations. Some how this does not bother you, and you point to the minor excessive use of force by Israel in responding to terror. That's why many can only wonder if you simply hate Jews. You hold them to a special standard, that no nation is held to. You remind me of the leftists in the US who protested the Vietnam War and then fell silent when the north imposed its regime on the south. Your thinking is conventional but you think of yourself as a contrarian.dsm
