You missed my point: People from small places are insecure.

People from a big country, such as Canada and Australia have a small country syndrome.

People from a big country with a major population do not show the insecurity of small countries' people.

Now because people form small people are insecure, they tend to monitoring threats very closely. Note them mentioning aircraft carrier protected currency. The are forgetting that any small country, illiterate people, wearing sandals, and eating only rice and drinking tea can beat any military might. Military might that can fight mouse and click 'battles' but can do nothing about getting and holding any country.
