society has every right (even an obligation) to decide what they believe to be right and wrong. i am arguing that society should recognize homosexuality for the abomination that it is.

No, you are arguing that society should recognize homosexuality for the abomination that you think it is. Unfortunately for you, what you think is only one person's opinion, and a pretty meaningless one at that.

The question here is not whether homosexuality is right or wrong. Nobody here is qualified to judge that in any event. The issue is whether homosexuals are infringing upon anybody else's rights. If they are not - and I can't see how they are - then what they do is none of your business, none of my business, and certainly none of the Government's business.
