Tommaso,

What I thought was interesting with this friend of mine, that is down over 40% from the high in her capital assets, is she was starting to take a look at reality. The problem is most people don't know anything about what their brokers and money managers are doing. They don't understand what is in there mutual funds and would not know if any of the stocks have reasonable values. It is just a mess out there.

BTW, this person confessed to me yesterday that in December she talked to her money managers about buying a gold fund. She got this stupid idea from me. And they told her this was not a good idea. The beat goes on. <g>

I had another friend call me yesterday - this person has been conservative during this period and she had a bunch of GSE debt called. She was asking what she could be considering when re-deploying the cash and we talked about some insurance against the US$. I offered to give her the annual and quarterly's from TGG, FAX and FCO. She said no because she would not understand what she was reading.

It will be interesting to see how this all ends. I am sure at some point in time these brokers and money managers will be out of business

Joan
