Yes, seasonality, blah blah blah.

But clearly the dominant theme of the past 2-3 years, besides the general slowdown, has been the pricing pressure put on Intel by the presence of AMD. For this the Droids can of course be proud.

But Intel is still making money during this price war, and AMD is not. Intel needs to crush AMD.

I believe this is why schedules are being pulled in, why Intel is proliferating designs faster than ever, why fab expansion is resuming, and why Intel is continuing to cut prices ruthlessly.

The Intel juggernaut is rolling right over AMD.
