I think the only thing that might save ML's butt in the Blodget saga is a rescue by the SEC chief or a sudden grant of leniency by the NY AG. Although the SEC chief wants an industry-wide non-ML-specific resolution, questionable activities occurred, which were specific to ML's way of doing things.
