Yes, the Jordanian option makes a lot of sense, and always has. Unfortunately, the Jordanians want nothing to do with it, and nobody else is jumping at the idea either.

Which is why I think some "motivation" may be arranged to compel the Hashemites to become involved lest this turmoil create the circumstances where their own subjects overthrow them.

Btw, I have to admit that while we hear about the pervasive corruption in Saudi Arabia, I know relatively little about how Jordanian society perceives the Hashemite rulers..

Abdullah strikes me as a man of integrity and fairness, but I'm not sure about the rest of the Hashemite royal family. Can anyone provide a little insight?
