never had Cable, but it is my favorite conceptually. I think that the cable providers will be first with true broadband to the home (100Mbps or more).

DSL is an ok stopgap solution, but the ILECs have no motivation to take us to the big pipes. They are busy thinking about the ROI on the DSL equipment and also not installing an infrastructure that they have to hand over to the first CLEC that comes along.

Satellite...LOL!!! Only if there is nothing else. I have DirectTV and it sucks whenever there is a strong wind or strong rain. And that is just for TV, just think if packets are dropping in the bit bucket and high rates.
