Intel is currently in a leadership position in terms of this market. At their recent analysts conference, I think they mentioned being the third largest provider of networking equipment. But the bad news is that it's a down market. Intel may be taking losses here, but so are the other communications giants out there.

I saw Dan's post, if that's what you mean. Of course, that alluded more to 10Gb networking, which is still an immature technology, to be sure. I'm still a believer in Intel's communications businesses. I think they have the technology to be #1, but the market has to pick up before much progress can be made. Maybe it will pick up in the next several quarters. If you have more information, please enlighten me.
