I agree with your basic point, but to nit-pick, actually there were revolts in Germany towards the end of WWI, and the Russian Revolution began during WWI.

WWI broke out August 1914.
Russian Revolution 1917
January 5 1919 Spartacist (Communist) revolt begins in Berlin
Armistice Day November 11 1919

The revolts in Germany were sporadic, but there were also mutinies of soldier and sailors.
