Schools are separate and there is so little inter-racial mingling that children as old at 10 at a recent inter-community event to celebrate Eid interacted with people of other skin colours for only the first time. Racist attacks on Asian taxi drivers, a high-profile assault on a white pensioner by Asian youths, and marches by far right-wing groups exploded into three nights of violence.
The BNP, partly blamed by police and politicians for last year's unrest, says any government action would be too little, too late for this city's whites. Opponents say the party is still racist. "All they are interested in is what divides the community. They have just built on the violence and conflict that was generated," said Mohammed Azam, coordinator of this city's coalition against racism. Why is it that only the muslim youth in UK are involved in race riots? The Indian youth -- more in number-- also live under similar circumstances. How is it that they live in harmony, while their "paki" counterparts live in disharmony with the local people? Confrontation, strife, struggle and antipathy to coexistence are the defining codes of some but significant number of muslim youth in UK. Civilizational phobic explosive mix between the muslim youth and the British is one of the reasons. The girls are forced to hide behind the burka and cocooned in wrappers until suitable mates are arranged by parents and thus are immune from whatever that afflicts the paki males. The psychological ravages upon the girls and paki youths from family-imposed restrictions and the personal freedom enjoyed by the British youth are the cause of many suicides and or egregious violence. The beastly attacks on the vulnerable pensioners show that they are not ready to live in a free democratic society.
It is very discouraging to see these paki businesses gravitate wherever the Indian businesses and residents go.
