The answer is that 9/10 times, they do. Intel components are all over inside Intel products. For the other percentage, it's possible that the timing of development prohibited using their own parts. If you have 'x' product line that requires 'y' component, but the latter isn't ready early enough in the design cycle of the former to be implemented, then you obviously have to go with a 3rd party part.

Dan, this same argument gets awfully tiring. The fact is that you've proved time and again that you don't understand Intel's requirements when it comes to manufacturing capacity, so why pretend that you do? "4 times the capacity" only includes relative CPU sales between both companies, and we know that Intel produces far more from their facilities. Your information that chipsets are fabbed by TSMC might include a small percentage that are unable to be produced with their current factories (another reason to increase manufacturing capacity). Without the proper information, your assumptions amount to nothing more than FUD.
