John, I am looking at NLY as well...however it is having quite a run today.

Thanks for your response.

I am currently looking for "relatively safe" income generating...preservation of capital ideas...

I was burned in the tech wreck..and now searching in new venues. I have played a bit the oils and golds over the past year.
Golds have been great..Oils not so great-for me

I started reading SI about 2 years ago....in that time, my investing and the market as a whole have changed tremendously.
In March of 2000 I owned 24 stocks....23 of them were tech or biotech.
I lost quite a bit of money.......I have retreated into a capital preservation mode with 60%Vanguard GinneMae Fund and the rest mostly gold and oil.
I do a lot of reading on SI etc and try to digest some of the financial wisdom imparted by the likes of you and Heinz and others....I am hoping to improve upon my investing skills.
Currently my thoughts are to buy TGG....wait for a pullback on FAX and buy on all significant pullbacks in gold (NEM..HGMCY)
I always appreciate your views.

regards
Chris
