The other interesting aspect of this paradox is that these are American Muslims......why do you think they hate the US that much when they live here?

It was a striking feature of the interviews. My sense was not that the hatred was directly solely against Jews, but against the very country they were born and raised in. Again, bizarre is the only term I have for it.

Obviously, we need to figure out what it is that makes them hate their own country. I am assuming that 60 minutes picked kids who were fairly typical as opposed to seriously troubled ones. If so, it makes their belief system particularly difficult to understand.

This intense, racist hatred gives me little hope for the future of Israel, but also for notion that the terrorist threat may one day be totally eliminated with the United States. I can see us facing a threat from these generations 10, 20 years from now -- within the United States.

I have never doubted it. Until the world eradicates the conditions which foster the development of terrorists, we will have to deal with the seemingly never ending fear of terrorism. That's why I prefer to spend less time hating the suicide bombers and more time figuring out what makes them tick.......why they do what they do.
