I know what you mean. My own father has little respect for my "investing", he attributes it to luck, and constantly warns me about how risky my gold stocks and market view are. He thinks I should be in something "safer", since I am young and can “ride it out”… I hardly have anyone to talk to about this stuff anymore, they act as if I am too negative, and almost seem to blame me for the current state of the economy. I just avoid the topic now, because it is a no win situation. I just agree with whatever bullish hope they are currently hoping for, and nod my head in agreement, hoping to change the subject. Because if I am right and the market tanks, it is as if I caused the market to decline. If I am wrong, then I will get the "I told you so" speeches. Oh well. My own family is clownish. And there is nothing I can do about it.
