Many shorts on a long term hold pattern

That is the sense I get as well. I think most will be waiting for 50 to 100 Nasdaq points above the September lows to cover and go long.

When you see what happened last April and September in the markets, there is little panic among the shorts.

That could explain why we did not get an explosive buy off of Nasdaq 1650.
