Thanks for the info, and you've saved me from beating my brains out further on this. Could well be that the low prices (around $11) I'm coming up with for IS 95 A/B chipsets are due to volume sales of the R-UIM capable MSM3300's for China consumption, which wouldn't get the Koreans up in arms at all.

And answers my question about where the volume sales of non 1x chipsets are going. Are you aware of any other volume markets for the MSM3xxx's besides China? I would expect that all Korean, KDDI and US handsets are using 1x MSM5xxx's by now, which leaves who else but the Chinese?
