Dave,re:"Still works". Make sense. Unless the memory
is cheap, don't upgrade it, just use it for whatever
it still can and apply the upgrade money to your
next notebook, the payback is better.

I think PC just made a big-drop the last 6 months,
historically it will take another 2-3 years to see
major drop like this. Watch for good promo and get
a new notebook. They are so tempting (the price).

The only reason I don't buy new computers is the same
reason like you, it still works and what to do about it
(not worthing much resale).
