Tom, Dipstick probably will lose his money because he is proud of being ignorant about the company and thinks he can drive looking in the rear view mirror. That doesn't work. Microsoft's earnings were always too low to justify the market capitalisation, ever since the mid 1980s, so he would have lost everything many times over by looking backwards at their earnings and valuation.
