I think most people have ideas of what should or should not be allowed, even libertarians. Libertarianism also restricts a person's rights where they conflict with another persons. That doesn't make them socially conservative, regardless of their definitions of "person".

Where do you draw the line between conservative and libertarian? I don't think it matters much, as long as common ground can be found to resist the expansion of government into private affairs, and especially to resist the tragedy of the commons that results when private property is made common property.
