plot the handset replacements over the last 10 years and see the volume has droped signifcantly. Then look at the average reaplcement handset duration and you wil find that we have had a downturn in repalcements for too long and that the cycle is strained out too long. This points to a major upturn (necessary) in replacement handsets in both US and Korea. Korea has rolled out 1x and the flood came in, but not all of it.

this summer ought to be fast and furious for replacements and 1x rollout. Meanwhile your new info supports exactly what I suspected, the GSM guys are cutting margins to the bone to hold market share. Any fool can hold market share by giving it away.....
