"I wonder what you mean by "huge future market". I believe there is competition in flip chip assembly to UTEK's bump processing, so what do you mean by "credible".

As far as I can tell, the only competition for high density bumps is Intel's package that sort of "grows" around the chip or a whole bunch of wirebond dots with no wire... Neither I see as cost effective as well as reliable in the next 5 yrs when there should be a glut of 300mm chips hitting the market. I think chips will be in most everything eventually - even tools in a mechanic's show will have a $1 Bluetooth transmitter to tell the mechanic where all the tools are. Hospitals are ALREADY working on getting all their equipment accounted for this way (a buddy has a startup doing it). Go to your home PC and it tells you where you left that tool you need or hospital defib..

So.. I think the market is much larger than many think. Risk/reward... currently it is $17 and I think it could be $50 in the next 5 yrs... Downside is probably an old low at $11.

To me, it is a Level III company with My level 1 AMAT and Level 2 of LRCX.

BTW, I worked for 20 years designing chips often with trailing edge technology (old OpAmp process) made with some of UTEK's trailing edge tools. That old stuff can be VERY cheap and I see China as having potential... what do they need a P4 for when they can build P2s with old equipment for 25 cents each?
