In a capitalistic system, it is the duty of the government to prevent the formation of monopolies and cartels. If it does it's job, the rest should be settled by the market.

If you work 20 hours a week and earn just enough to meet your basic needs and I work 80 hours a week first building houses, then running rentals, then a real estate empire, is it fair that you should get just as much of societies goods and services as I?
