Latest Results..A nation that was suppose to be 80% extremist votes solidly for ................. 'a vote that rejects extremist agenda and adopts a new programme of development'..results are still pouring...charges of rigging by opposition that are possible but he was the only contestent and the demand was that 'if one support his policies' please vote yes or no...results so far.. Musharraf 585185 Rejected Votes 655 jang.com.pk In my city in Isb, lines were long but I would admit over zealous government officers could have added some votes but overall tone was positive, the Islamic parties could not get a 'no vote' and they abstained like they have mostly done in the past they boycott every election mostly to save themselves from insult of major loss. In last five elections the average number of vote caste is 30-38%, in all these four election any party who has won has been considered as not 'representative enough' of the voice of the nation as voter apathy has been a problem..and moreover massive vote rigging charges are always raised. Bhutto and Shariff twice have not been able to recognise their victories. This will also definitely be one that will be strongly contested but the background and extremism that was as a core issue has been killed. The issue was not about legitimacy of a dictator it was all about whether we want ‘Afghnsistan2’ or we want to be free, naturally in this cause if some minor irritants are observed for greater good I will overlook when was the last time any of these Islamic parties have even gone to the polling stations in any Islamism country and the way they are free in my country they don’t allow similar freedom of expression in places where they rule supreme..
