Not a single Islamic nation in the whole 54 of them can adopt such a bold stance and still survive, these 'bunch' of thugs talk of Arab street, when was the last time Arab street spoke or was given a right to speak in last 1400 years, today we are for the president or against him the lines are drawn, the press is free, we are liking him and condemning him with equal fervour. In his Karachi meeting he clearly said ye US forces are operating in Pakistan to clean the house from extremists next days he goes for a vote, now tell me who is next kid on the block in 54 of these countries to take such an stance and face the people. Today it is all about-facing the biggest threat that our future generations face that of ending up in hands of few extremists thugs. My President is a bigger democrat than many a democrats. He lets me condemn him openly on state television, that is what I like, Mugabe neither Saddam nor Syrian or Libyans, I do not get a knock on my door and I can write for him or against him as much as I want, I call him a benevolent dictator and he doesn’t mind although he may have some democratic credential now but I will still cal him a benevolent dictator. As a nation we have 4 million refugees from Afghanistan to Somalia, we never put them in transit camp, we don’t argue with them, we provide home to every nationality of the world, Pakistan has the largest population of refugees in Asia. We have ‘one small little bread’ we share it and that is why I stay in what is called by western press a failed state; I see many freedom that I don’t find in heart of freedom. I see all these refuges sharing little resources we have and we are proud of it, it is better to be poor but generous than to be rich and miser and xenophobic, I am talking about transit camp, shame on those who do that. 186,000 man Pakistani have been kiled since Soviet agression on Afghanistan, the 'evil empire'i.e USSR the one Reagen called it, did that, today everyone forgets about why Afgahnistan or Pakistan ends up in such a sorry state, we killed the evil empire on demands of USA. Is every other human life worth less than anyone else.
Human are rightful owners of this earth beyond colour, race and creed to put them in chains and put them in jails is inhuman.
Is that not what freedom is all about, we were about to become a totalitarian Islamic state with 'theocracy' as our constitution, the bloodless coup save us from that dark long night of terror that could have taken us to Afghanistan 2 route. Democracy and freedom of expression is abound in m y nation, the Islamic parties wanted Pakistan to go down the 15,000 man way who went for Jihad in Afghanistan and lost their lives, the President saved us from that humiliation that would have been ours as a garland under Benazir or Shariff or Qazi, they could not have taken a bold stance as Army would have not gone with them, I know it is a double whammy but such is Army power in Islamic societies and we need to understand ‘benevolent dictatorship’ is better than the system in other 53 Islamic countries where they cannot even say condemnation lest to talk of US forces killing these AlQaeda –astards in tribal areas. Tribal areas have voted solid in favour of the President, a lot of liberals will now come out in NYT and others talking about the fairness and rigging but we are no Mugabe country, we can condemn we had a court case going on against the referendums until last minute and we are on war like Israel and USA against the extremists. The silent majority has spoken and spoken stridently the people of Pakistan have buried today the effigy of Osama and Omar.
ISI could not have been harnessed any one other than this guy, it needed someone from the ranks and he did the job. The lesser evil that helps people to make right choices I will put straight and clear for my critics. What is the use of such a democracy where we would have been a pariah state like many around us, we don't have oil and or kids would have died far faster. These Arabs or democracy lovers would not have come and saved us from pangs of satanic disasters of Osama and Omar. |
